We're looking for superstar Runners to join the team here at Barbara's Bier Haus Cardiff!
What is a Runner?
A runner is one of the most important people in the team. Their role is to ensure the bars have everything they need to do their job effectively - Be that getting additional glasses, fruit, ice, straws, cleaning a guest's table, cleaning up spillages or collecting and washing glasses - It's a role where there's always something to do!
What can you do for us?
To assist the Management Team by ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the operation whilst maintaining brand standards and values. To provide excellent guest service and help to increase sales revenue by providing a friendly, informative welcome to all guests. The right candidate will be self-motivated, a good communicator, well presented, professional, with excellent operational standards and attention to detail, and should lead by example.
What can we do for you?
Offer an hourly salary of 9.50 - 11.44p/h, depending on experience; Exceptional training opportunities; and We will supply many support functions via our HUB office and senior management team.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
working as a member of the runner team in a designated runner area, including a designated toilet area, and providing help and assistance where required; collecting unused bottles and glasses; ensuring tables are clean at all times with clean menus; ensuring bins are emptied as and when necessary ensuring recycling policy is adhered to; ensuring bars always have enough stock, making sure more stock is brought to the bar before anything runs out; successfully resolving guest complaints wherever possible referring unresolved complaints to your supervisor and to the management team; ensuring that your designated toilet area is checked periodically throughout the session and logged as required; ensuring cellar areas are left clean and tidy at all times; ensuring no floor area is left unattended; ensuring that all areas are dry and clear of spillages or broken glass; making sure public and staff areas are kept clean; maintain floor areas in line with operating standards; ensuring good housekeeping standards are applied and deliver a safe environment through maintenance of the venue; completing all company Polaris training, including refresher courses, as and when required to do so. All applicants must be well presented, professional, a good communicator with excellent overall operational standards. Candidates must be 18+ and eligible to work in the UK. This is a permanent role, with full time and part time hours available that will see you working shift patterns include evenings and weekends, so you must be flexible in terms of the hours required of you.
