Located in the heart of the Depot, Mayfield amongst the historical industrial architecture lies a cultural hub of food, drink & entertainment. A 2500 capacity venue with 10 bars and 10-12 food vendors, it provides a safe and comfortable environment where guests can enjoy delicious food, great drinks, and live entertainment without any worries.

As a Floor Team Member, you will play an essential part in our guest's journey, keeping the service smooth, the tables looking amazing, working hard to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where our guests can enjoy the Freight Island experience. You will report into the Floor supervisors & Floor managers on duty & will be allocated sections of the venue to maintain & be a presence for our guests throughout shift. You will need to be available for work Thursday - Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

Clearing customer's tables of empty glasses and used/dirty crockery. Keeping customer's tables clean and clear of any rubbish or unwanted items at all times. Handling all guest questions and requests effectively & reporting any issues to management. Ensuring everyone is having a great Freight Island experience! Assisting the other staff & supervisors when required - this can be at the start of shift helping to set the venue up, helping out in our back of house areas when needed, serving food or drinks at our private hire events or closing the venue down in the evening. We are one team! Checking the servers section plan, table plan and ensuring tables are set accordingly (chairs neatly pushed under, matching furniture, QR codes on tables). Having full knowledge of the site including floor plans, directions, opening times, menus, events and contact information for the unit site, directors and traders. We work in a fast-paced environment, and we have to cover a lot of ground. It is expected that you work with a sense of urgency and take pride in the levels of service that you are giving both to our customers and to our vendors We are a busy, late night weekend focused venue, you must have availability Thursday-Sunday. Assisting with the moval of furniture to reflect the programming for each day Helping with Host and KP daily tasks as needed

Key Skills

Experience working in a fast-paced busy environment. Can work well under pressure. Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptable and flexible. Someone who takes pride in themselves and their work. Excellent time keeping skills. Ability to carry furniture, move heavy bins and be involved in more physical tasks that may arise
