Floor Supervisor

Role Purpose: The Service Standard Bearer

The Floor Supervisor is the direct operational leader responsible for maintaining high standards of service and efficiency across the venue's service areas during every shift. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of the operation, leading the floor team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, and acting as the main point of contact for service issues, ensuring a vibrant and high-quality environment.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Service Leadership & Quality Control

Shift Management:

Take ownership of assigned shifts, effectively directing and deploying the floor staff (servers, hosts, runners) to ensure maximum efficiency, speed, and consistency of service. You will run the floor as if it were your own.

Standards Champion:

Uphold and enforce all company standards related to table service, guest interaction, product presentation, and cleanliness. Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure the entire venue space is immaculate and perfectly set up for service.

Problem Solving:

Act as the first line of defence for all guest feedback and service issues. You are responsible for prompt, courteous, and effective

service recovery

to ensure every patron leaves happy.

2. Team Performance & Coaching

On-the-Job Training:

Provide immediate, constructive

coaching and training

to floor staff. Ensure the team is fully versed in menu knowledge, POS operations, service protocols, and upselling techniques.

Motivation & Energy:

Lead by example, maintaining a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism on the floor. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, addressing performance issues quickly and fairly.

Communication Hub:

Facilitate clear and timely communication between the front-of-house, bar, and kitchen teams to ensure seamless order delivery and swift resolution of any operational bottlenecks.

3. Operational Flow & Compliance

Opening/Closing Duties:

Oversee and execute detailed opening and closing procedures, ensuring all checklists are completed accurately and the venue is fully prepped for the next shift.

Cash & Security:

Assist management with cash handling, processing payments, and ensuring the security of the venue and its assets during your shift.

Compliance:

Ensure the team adheres strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as licensing requirements (e.g., responsible alcohol service, age verification).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-14.80 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
