Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled floor fitter to join our team with experience in the installation of cap and cove. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong background in fitting other types of flooring too incl. vinyl sheet, LVT, laminate, floor tile and carpet.

The majority of the work is in Northampton and occasional travel within an hours' radius.

The position is available as a permanent contract of employment or on a subcontractor basis, to suit the successful candidate.

Duties

Removal of existing flooring Preparation of subfloor incl. self level, ply lining etc. Installation of cap and cove Installation of vinyl sheet Installation and welding of commercial sheet incl. upstands Installation of carpet Installation of floor tiles Installation of laminate Basic plumbing to remove and refix toilets and basins, as necessary

Experienced in all aspects of floor fitting Basic plumbing to remove and refix toilets or wiling to learn Experienced in the use of a range of hand held power tools Proficient in the use of non motorized hand held tools Solution focused and calm under pressure Methodical with attention to detail Good verbal communicator Kind and caring manner with customers
The ideal candidate will have their own van (business mileage reimbursed)and basic tools, however, for the right candidate, all of the above can be provided.
