V R Flowers & Son is a fourth generation established family run business, and one of the largest home furnishers in Sussex. We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our friendly, loyal and growing team in an exciting retail environment. The successful applicant will need to be able to run our brand new Lewes branch, exclusively selling flooring. We may also require cover in the Seaford branch, but this is to be confirmed at a later date.

Could you be the person we are looking for? Previous experience within the Flooring sector is a must.

Our ideal applicant will have sales experience and an extensive knowledge of the flooring industry, including experience with providing customers on the spot estimates and giving advice on suitable products. Microsoft 365 Suite knowledge as well as other data processing programmes is also required. The role is varied and will need someone to take on a variety of tasks relating to customer service and Sales.

The successful applicant will need to:

Have excellent organisational and communication skills

Be able to work under pressure solo and communicate with our Seaford Branch effectively

Have a friendly attitude

Be able to multi-task in a busy environment

Be experienced in the flooring industry

Have experience with or be able to learn new flooring systems quickly

Be self-motivated and hard-working

Have customer service skills and be professional in your manner

Be able to assist customers looking to book in estimates

Have experience in accounts, and be able to take payments

Have general office administration experience

Working Days: We require the successful applicant to work 4 days a week minimum, with Saturday as a fixed working day. Both shops will be closed on Sundays.
