Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient operational processes. This role requires leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and a passion for the culinary arts.

Responsibilities



Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and service. Manage staff training and development programs to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction. Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels. Handle cash management and POS transactions accurately using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed, demonstrating culinary expertise. Implement effective shift management strategies to optimize workflow and staff productivity. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth. Conduct interviews and assist in hiring processes for new team members. Collaborate with upper management on budgeting, menu planning, and promotional activities.

Qualifications



Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS). Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively. Experience in staff training, development, and performance management. Background in fine dining or casual dining environments is preferred. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting practices. Culinary experience is a plus; barista or coffee experience is also beneficial. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
