We're looking for an outgoing florist to run our wonderful flower arranging workshops this summer at Millets Farm South Oxfordshire. Thursday to Sundays with unlimited access to our beautiful dahlias from the 16th August to end of October.

Set within an acre at Millet's Farm, Dahlia Beach is a PYO flower farm with a difference.
We've planted 8000 dahlias around a bright pink double decker bus where people from all over the UK flock to take photos and fill their arms with beautiful flowers and we're looking for a fun loving florist to run our workshops from Thursday to Sunday.
Since launching on Instagram in September 2020, we've grown a community of over 105,000 wonderful followers who have supported us through the highs, so we need someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for flowers to live up to their expectations and more!
Job description
You'll be responsible for:
Picking, conditioning and making up bunches of flowers for the farm shop van
. Welcoming visitors to the site and maintaining acurate record keeping of workshop numbers
. Prepping for the workshops (along with an assistant) to include washing and filling of buckets, arranging secateurs and tidying workspace areas
. Running the workshops; both floral hand ties and possibly flower crowns, to include an introduction to growing and picking dahlias (training provided for the latter part)
. Tidying of the work space areas to include disposal of green waste
Selling and packaging merchandise from onsite orders
. Supporting the team at the wholesale farm at Woodstock, as and when needed
SKILLS:
Strong floristry skills and a demonstrable passion for flowers
. Excellent communication skills
Confident and outgoing personality
. Reliable and punctual disposition
Positive, 'can do' attitude
Resilient and flexible approach to problem solving
Interest in social media is preferable but not compulsory
. Experience in a customer facing business is essential
THE DETAILS:
Fixed contract: 16th August until the 31st October
Hours: 10 - 5pm Thursday to Sunday
Salary: 15 - 20 per hour
