Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a flair for design and a strong understanding of floral arrangements, as well as excellent customer service skills. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral displays for various occasions, providing exceptional service to customers, and maintaining the overall appearance of the shop.

We are a busy florists therefore ability to work quickly, under pressure and using your own initiative is essential.

Responsibilities

- Design and create floral arrangements for various events such as weddings, funerals, and corporate functions.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs and preferences.
- Maintain an organised inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Educate customers about different types of flowers, their care, and suitability for specific occasions.
- Process sales transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the shop.
- Keep the shop clean and visually appealing by arranging displays and maintaining cleanliness.

Requirements

City and Guilds level 2 floristry or equivalent bench training is essential

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work during weekends or holidays as required by business needs. -Experience in funeral and gifting work
