FLT Driver / Stock Control Operative - Fairfax Meadow, Derby

Salary:

12.92 per hour (increasing to 13.64 with training and development)

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

We're looking for an organised and motivated

FLT Driver / Stock Control Operative

to join our team at

Fairfax Meadow

, one of the UK's leading meat suppliers. This role combines forklift operation with stock control duties -- perfect for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.

Role Overview

You'll assist with the day-to-day control of stock, including receiving, handling, monitoring, and recording. Working in chilled and frozen environments, you'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout our production areas.
We're looking for someone who can work independently, shows initiative in problem-solving, and is committed to food safety, legality, quality, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Safely

operate Counterbalance FLT

to move stock between departments

Unload deliveries

, check specifications, and enter stock into the computer system

Deliver stock

to relevant areas within the chilled and frozen storage

Stock check, rotate, and count

products accurately

Monitor and record stock movements

in line with company procedures

Support company initiatives

and demonstrate our core values at all times Take personal responsibility for

Health & Safety compliance

Undertake any other reasonable duties as required

What You'll Need

Valid

Counterbalance FLT licence

(Reach Truck experience desirable but not essential) Previous

warehouse and cold storage experience

is preferable Accuracy in maintaining and recording stock data

Computer literacy

- experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) is desirable Good communication skills and a professional telephone manner A proactive, positive attitude and ability to work well independently and within a team
