We are looking to recruit a FLT Driver to join our Yardley Road Depot in Knowsley. You will be a key link to the depot by being responsible for processing instructions received from the Transport Operations Manager as requested, ensuring quality, safety, security, and minimising wastage.

You will need a Category B1 and B2 FLT licence for this role, to operate counter balance fork lift trucks up to 15 tonnes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Ensure all equipment loaded onto vehicles is correctly counted and have the appropriate documentation. Ensure all work carried out at the depot and on site is done in the most efficient manner taking the company, customers and H & S regulations into consideration. Ensure any defective plant and equipment are reported immediately. Ensure all tasks and targets allocated by the depot manager and depot supervisor are completed accurately and within the timeframe allocated. Cleaning and repairing our internal hoarding system. Equipment must be cleaned to a very high standard, so the candidate must be energetic, target driven and take pride in completing a job with a high level of self quality control. The candidate will deal with collections being returned and have to assess the quality and complete reports noting damages.

Essential Requirements:

FLT License (Category B1 and B2)

Proven experience of unloading and loading containers Full training will be provided to operate the de-van machine to unload containers Excellent organisational skills are essential Experience working with spreadsheets to record, monitor and manage stock levels for inbound and outbound Able to work as part of a team Able to cope with the physical demands of the role Understand the importance of deadlines High levels of Health and Safety standards.
