About WS&SON Transportation:

WS&SON Transportation is a trusted logistics and freight company serving clients across the UK. We pride ourselves on timely, safe, and efficient handling and delivery of goods. As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our operations team with a skilled and reliable FLT Driver based at our Newark depot.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and move materials safely within the depot and yard. Support warehouse operations including goods-in and goods-out. Carry out daily equipment checks and report any issues to the supervisor. Follow all site safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Work collaboratively with the transport and logistics team to ensure smooth daily operations. Accurately complete any required documentation for goods handling. Handle goods with care to avoid damage and ensure correct storage. Assist with manual handling and other general warehouse duties when required.

Requirements:

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (Reach licence an advantage). Previous experience working in a warehouse or transport environment. Good level of physical fitness - this role includes manual handling. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. A safety-first attitude and good awareness of health and safety standards. Flexibility with working hours during peak times.

Desirable:

Experience in a logistics or freight forwarding company. Basic IT skills for scanning or stock management systems. Knowledge of transport documentation or load manifest procedures.
