We're currently recruiting Production Operatives to join our team at our Piquant site based in Walsall. We are a specialist manufacturer that has produced dips, dressings and sauces since 1986. We supply products to hundreds of food service, catering and wholesale customers, including some of the biggest names in hospitality.

Duties and responsibilities:
Ensuring that food safety, legality, and quality standards are adhered to
Maintain the FLT to ensure that all checks and battery care are carried out daily/weekly
Minimise potential damage by following training guidelines
Conduct safety inspections on equipment
Report accidents, product issues or damage-related issues
Keen eye for detail
The ability to read, understand and implement instructions accurately is vital
Computer skills to maintain stock levels
Issue despatch notes for distribution, liaise with delivery drivers/ customers
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Ensuring food safety is at the heart of everyday tasks
Adhere to Health and Safety company policy
Palletise products safely for distribution
Pack finished products ready to send through to distribution
Maintain a clean work area
Ensure waste is kept to a minimum
Manual handling
Escalate any issues or problems to your Team leader immediately.
Any other duties as required to assist the managerial team of the company in the company policies, Health & Safety, BRC, legal and customer requirements. Also, comply with policies and procedures and assist with corrective actions where necessary
Skill and experience:
You will need to hold a license to operate an FLT, counterbalance
Previous experience using equipment, FLT, counterbalance and PPT trucks
Previous experience working in a busy manufacturing warehouse environment is desirable
Ability to work as a team
Food safety is desirable, but training will be provided
Ability to work well with your hands
You must be 18 or over with the right to work in the UK
Ability to work under pressure to hit production/despatch deadlines
Flexible approach to work
Be able to handle food products that may contain allergens
Excellent standard of personal hygiene.
