IntraHealth is recruiting to our bank of Registered Nurses to work in and around Nottinghamshire.
The base for the area is East Bridgford which provides Immunisations for all young people across Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire County and Bassetlaw, covering 474 educational settings.
Applicants will be responsible for delivering both Nasal and Intramuscular Flu Vaccinations to young people in schools, SEND, alternative provisions and community clinicsbetween September 2025 and December 2025
Key responsibilities
You will be required to work autonomously and as part of a team alongside Nurses and admin support within the different settings whilst delivering vaccinations.
You will be required to confirm a young person's identity, deliver vaccinations and undertake accurate record keeping using both electronic and paper consents to ensure vaccines are recorded accurately.
You will be required to undertake clinical triage for both electronic and paper consents contacting parents / guardians as required both in session and from the office.
You will have excellent communication skills to develop and ensure positive working relationships with schools, their staff, young people and parent / guardians and present a positive professional image.
You will be required to follow all IntraHealth's policies and all safety measures that are in place.
You will be responsible for managing the cold chain and safe storage of vaccines whilst in vaccination sessions following Intrahealth's standard operating procedures.
You must be able to lift and transport a vaccine bag and carry equipment required for sessions.
You will be required to attend a face-to-face Flu Training Day and to complete the required on-line training before commencing vaccination sessions.
You will be required to sign and follow PGD's also completing competencies relating to the delivery of both the nasal and IM flu vaccine.
This role involves travel to schools and educational settings across Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire County, Bassetlaw and to the base at East Bridgford therefore you must have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle. Business miles are reimbursable.
An Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken.
The majority of the vaccination programme is delivered during school hours and school term time. Community Clincs are offered throughout the programme during evening / weekends and school holidays. You will be required to be flexible to the needs of the service.
We can offer flexibility on a part-time or full-time bank basis dependant on the needs of the service.
