Overview

We are currently hiring for an experienced Purchasing Administrator/ FM Services Estimator for an established Facilities Management Company.

This role will suit someone with experience in a similar position with the technical knowledge of facilities management being essential.

It would be particularly advantageous for the successful candidate to possess demonstrable skills and experience with estimating/quoting repair/installation jobs involving a variety of disciplines (incl. plumbing, flooring, roofing, general building fabric, air conditioning, electricals and gas).

Supporting the Operational teams taking on the role of Small Works Estimator producing quotations for PPM and reactive works.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for small works projects based on specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation. Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements to produce accurate cost estimates, and identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations and profit forecasts. Contact multiple suppliers and obtain quotations for parts and components. Chase outstanding quotation requests. General ad-hoc administration duties as required.

Experience

Proven experience as an Estimator in a similar role within the facilities management or construction industry is essential. Strong understanding of cost control methods and practices. Proficiency in estimation software and tools is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
