Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Foam Conversion and Memory Foam Mattress Worker to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with foam materials to produce high-quality mattresses and related products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and the ability to operate various tools and machinery safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a dynamic production environment.

Duties

Operate foam cutting and shaping machinery to convert foam blocks into specified sizes and shapes Assemble memory foam mattresses, including layering, sewing, and finishing components Use hand tools and power tools for fabrication, assembly, and adjustments of foam products Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards Assist with the handling and movement of heavy foam blocks and finished mattresses within the warehouse Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements

Skills

Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery safely Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment used in fabrication processes Experience in warehouse settings or manufacturing environments preferred Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling of large foam blocks and mattresses Strong attention to detail for quality control and precise assembly tasks Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
