This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle customer inquiries effectively. As a Customer Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering positive relationships.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries in a professional manner.
Provide information about products and services, helping customers make informed decisions.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
Maintain knowledge of current promotions, policies, and procedures to assist customers effectively.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
Keep the customer area tidy and organised to enhance the shopping experience.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve service quality.
Experience
Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers confidently.
A friendly and approachable attitude, demonstrating empathy towards customer needs.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and cash management.
Familiarity with retail or service environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
