We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Front of House Security Officer to join our team.
As a FOH officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding our client's premises, assets, and personnel.
You will play a key role maintaining a secure environment and deterring potential threats.
Working Mon - Fri with long weekends available.
Overtime opportunities available.
Main Duties:
Conduct regular building patrols both external and internal of the premises to ensure security.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
Maintain a visible and professional presence.
Enforce site Policies and Procedures, Assignment Instructions and KOD`s.
Write detailed incident reports.
Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies where necessary.
Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures.
Training:
Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the FOH manager.
Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
You are required to ensure you renew your license 16 weeks before expiry.
Protection and Health & Safety:
Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss, or damage.
Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
To call emergency services and Regional Operations Centre to report all incidents.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience as a Security Officer in related roles.
Proven experience in Emergency response role.
Valid Security Licence (DS).
Valid First Aid Certificate (EFAW or FAW).
Strong Observational Skills and Security Situational Awareness.
Excellent Communication Skills.
Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extend periods.
