We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our front of house, overseeing staff, and maintaining high standards of service and food quality.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage front of house staff, including waitstaff and bartenders, ensuring they deliver outstanding service to all guests.
Assist in training new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices in customer service.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front of house and back of house operations.
Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards in line with culinary expectations.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Assist in scheduling shifts for front of house staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
Support management in implementing promotional activities and events to drive business growth.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is highly desirable.
Experience in bartending or managing bar operations is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
