Role and Responsibilities
To have a full understanding the food and beverage area of the hotel in detail and working knowledge of all operational areas.
To ensure that all guests are greeted or acknowledged within 5 seconds of entering the hotel, and that guests are greeted in a proactive manner when you meet them around the hotel and surrounding grounds.
To aid and assist guests throughout their stay in a friendly and professional manner.
To ensure that guests receive an exceptional level of service and will want to return.
In the event of a guest being lost - direct them to their place of destination.
To serve guests their requested orders in a friendly and professional manner.
Wherever possible to anticipate guests needs, to be aware of all written and spoken requests, and to carry out these requests in a courteous and helpful manner.
If requested by the Food & Beverage Manager / supervisor, to fully set up meeting and Conference Rooms in preparation for meetings that have been scheduled on the Hotel Function Sheet.
To ensure that all stock around the Food and Beverage area is fully stocked.
To ensure that all Food and Beverage areas and clean, near and in immaculate presentation for Guests arrival.
To attend and contribute to all monthly Food and Beverage staff meetings, set out by the Food & Beverage Manager / supervisor.
To present yourself for work in an immaculate manner, creating a professional and quality appearance to our guests while adhering to Crowne Plaza London Kingston South Grooming policy.
To ensure the product quality standards are met in the Food & Beverage Department as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness throughout.
To have full understanding of the Hotel Fire and Bomb Threat Emergency Plan procedure and act as a competent person in the event of an emergency.
To fully understand the security procedures throughout the hotel.
Ensure the telephone in the Food and Beverage Department is answered within 5 rings in a professional manner and that all queries and dealt promptly and professionally.
To help maintain the hotel, collect any litter, remove/report hazards to the Food and Beverage Manager.
All conference rooms must be always set for the next conference to brand standard and refreshed during the day based on Crowne Plaza London Kingston Hotel standards of performance.
To take a responsible approach towards timekeeping and attendance at work to ensure the department always runs efficiently.
