Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our guests enjoy a delightful dining experience. You will assist in various aspects of food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items in accordance with established recipes and standards. Ensure that all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Support the kitchen staff by helping with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and assembling dishes. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest inquiries or concerns. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the dining experience and promote menu items effectively. Maintain organisation within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring all equipment is clean and properly stored. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service delivery during peak hours. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. A passion for food and beverage service, with a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
