We are looking for a Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Sandymouth Holiday resort in Bude, Cornwall. Salary based on experience.
This is a permanent position to work full time hours. This will be 40 hours across 5 variable days including weekends and bank holidays.
Flexibility is essential to suit the needs of the business.

About the role
Job Summary:
The Food and Beverage Manager will lead and inspire the Front of House team to deliver an exceptional guest experience in line with the resort's five-star standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all bar and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, maintaining immaculate presentation, managing budgets, and supporting staff development. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful Food and Beverage Manager will:
Lead and motivate the Front of House team to deliver a five-star, award-winning standard of customer service.
Oversee the daily operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring prompt and efficient service of food and beverages.
Plan and manage rotas, monitor staffing levels, and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
Manage stock budgets, complete stock checks, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation using the EPOS system.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all Front of House areas.
Oversee glass collection, table resetting, and smooth service flow within the restaurant.
Identify, deliver, and record training and development needs for Front of House team members.
Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction.
Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
Previous Front of House management experience within hospitality, leisure, or resort environments is essential.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Positive work ethic and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Experience with EPOS systems and basic financial or stock management processes.
A driving licence and the ability to drive is advantageous for travel to and from the retreat.
