FOOD and BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR

Type Permanent - 40 hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Location Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

To work closely with the Food and Beverage team in running the food and beverage operation for the golf course; manage co-workers while maintaining excellence in quality control and excellent customer relations. Learn all aspects of the Food and Beverage Manager duties.

MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:

Management of all food and beverage service areas.

Liaise with the kitchen team, co-ordinating to achieve and ensure customer satisfaction.

Ensures that co-workers meet all standards for performance, appearance and service provision.

Ensure that all policies and procedures related to the operation of the Food and Beverage department are enforced and implemented.

Manage and maintain purchasing system ensuring all invoices are managed effectively.

Reviews all bookings for catered activities, i.e.: functions, meetings, golf societies, weddings and ensure all appropriate preparation is made in advance.

Solicit and handle customer enquiries, comments, suggestions and concerns to provide answers or determine solutions.

WORKING TOWARDS:

Maintaining existing food and beverage programmes and develop new concepts/strategies that ensure the highest possible quality of food service to meet customer expectations and assure repeat business. Creating and developing menus and prices, in conjunction with chef, and ensure recipe cards are completed to ensure minimum cost of sales and maximum profit. Identifying new market opportunities and maximise sale potential through aggressive marketing of the property's various food and beverage services and events, including flyers, newspaper, telephone, soliciting, brochures, promotional events etc.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

This role demands a flexible approach with the requirement to operate from a management strategic level to hands on. As a key focal point for members and visitors, you will need to be visible and be prepared to work evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate should have a strong customer service ethic, have good communication and excellent interpersonal skills and have a successful shift or supervisory track record. They should be well planned and organised, an interest in golf or experience within the industry would be advantageous. Minimum of 2 years operational experience at shift leader or supervisor level. Computer skills - word, excel, email. Operating systems - ClubV1 or similar, WHS, HowdidIdo, EG.
