Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage service, ensuring exceptional hospitality and adherence to food safety standards. Your leadership will be crucial in managing a team of culinary and service staff, enhancing guest experiences, and maintaining the highest quality of food production and preparation.

Responsibilities



Lead the food and beverage service team on a daily basis in the service of food and refreshments in a variety of locations on the site. Co-ordinate food and beverage service staff in respect of arranging rotas, and staffing levels dependent on business. Supervise the food and beverage service team to ensure quality service is maintained at all times. Maintain and control standards of health, hygiene, safety and conduct in food and beverage service areas to ensure appropriate standards are complied with Liaise with customers regarding individual requirements or arrangements for functions, seating plans and special requirements to ensure appropriate arrangements are made. Alongside the Food and Beverage Manager manages the stock and product levels in the bar to ensure that appropriate stock levels are held to support functions, events and conference as per the request of the client. Manage the stock of linen tablecloths and serviettes ensuring stocks are appropriate for the level of business and deliveries to and from the laundry are controlled to prevent shortages or incorrect charges. Communicate appropriate information directed from management to the staff to ensure they are appropriately informed. Liaise with Kitchen and Conference/Sales Management to ensure food and beverage service arrangements are appropriate to the level and type of business.

Where required to provide cover, act as Duty Manager:



Coordinate the work and activities of all Departments whilst on duty Provide liaison with course organisers and individuals organising services as required, including initial welcome to the venue and confirmation of the day's event Provide operational assistance, as necessary, to maintain standards of customer service Attend any customer difficulty, grievance or complaint whilst on duty Deal with any emergency situation e.g. fire, service breakdown, theft etc. Handle cash and card receipts from tills at the end of shifts, and ensures these are securely delivered to Finance staff in a timely manner. Provide safety and security monitoring whilst on duty, including observing CCTV, reacting to alarms, observing movement around the site via an access control system.

Requirements



Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production and preparation. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by business needs. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences. Previous experience in hotel environments is advantageous but not essential.
