Dominus Group, the London-based property developer and investment group, is looking for a FB Supervisor to join their site, Hampton by Hilton London City, in the historic Aldgate.





Responding to strong demand for the Hampton by Hilton brand in London, the hotel opened in May 2023 through a partnership with Dominus Group. The hotel is a stone's throw from Old Spitalfields Market, sandwiched between Shoreditch and the City, London's historic business district. Plans will revitalise the 1960s building with features that complement the surrounding historic architecture.



The property opened with 129 guestrooms in May 2023, and built to 278 guestrooms, hence the opportunity to join a dynamic, well-performing team.


About this role





To achieve all FB departmental goals and KPI-s, uphold all standards and help filter down all communication and tasks to the wider FB team to ensure a smooth and seamless FB operation in line with brand standards of the hotel.

People




Leads, coaches and manages the performance of a guest-facing Food Beverage team, incorporating Team Members of varying degrees of seniority. Support the Breakfast Manager to do stock take, train staff and to engage with guests and staff. Manage inventory of Food and Beverage stock and be accountable for proper use of it. Owns the Food Beverage function of the property, coaching our team to deliver a friendly and efficient service to guests. Cross train team members between reception and FB. Writes effective departmental rotas, which adequately balance needs of the business, guest demand, and Team Member requirements where deemed appropriate. Seeks ways to maintain, improve and effectively work within the Food Beverage team. Supervises, motivates, and drives the Food Beverage team in the performance of their duties, with a special focus on up-selling opportunities, and delivering the brand promise. Ensures that Food beverage procedures are conducted in line with Hilton brand standards. Carries out daily briefings with the team, providing direction, support, and any relevant information to the rest of the team. Passionate about standards of training for the department, ensuring all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Legal, brand-specific and procedural training is delivered to the correct standard, and within prescribed timescales.

Delivers best-in-class service standards to ensure guest expectations are met and exceeded. Adheres to Hampton Brand Standards, focussing on the delivery of excellent Quality Assurance Audit outcomes. Understands Hilton brand requirements around expected targets for Hampton hotels and proactively use Hilton-provided materials and trainings to improve the standards. Efficiently deals with guest feedback. Owns the training delivery function of Food and Beverage, taking a lead in ensuring all Team Members have the correct training to succeed. Ensures that Health and Safety, Food Safety, Allergens and Licencing policies are actively followed. Drives quality scores and reviews online and in house such as SALT, TripAdvisor etc

Profit




Accurately reports covers and revenue; drives FB commercial and marketing planning; understands and manages FB financial KPIs. Makes business-appropriate decisions to address any perceived shortfalls. Leads and coaches Team Members to participate in monthly stock takes, ensuring inventories and stock processes are in place and accurate. Supports Head Chef to maintain food GP, by utilising training to reduce food wastage and correct portioning. Manages and controls payroll costs to the department, ensuring hours spent appropriately reflect guest demand. Perform any other reasonable tasks as reasonably assigned.

What we need from you




Previous experience in a Food service industry, preferably in a branded hotel environment for over 1 year Good knowledge of MS Office and IT platforms, including POS systems Approachable, professional, well-presented with an eye for detail. An ability to interpret and analyse data, using it to make decisions or take action. Driven, passionate, and willing to develop a career within the industry.
