Dinotropolis is based in the premier Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, is a dinosaur themed activity centre for children and their carers including a range of activities that incorporate fun, educational and entertaining activities based around physical activity, intellectual curiosity and soft play. Through staff directly interacting with the children, Dinotropolis aims are to provide a fun and deeply engaging experience for children and their Parents/Carers.

To be responsible for the day to day running of the Food & Beverage offering at Dinotropolis, and proactively develop F&B increasing sales and revenue, whilst maintaining a high-level guest experience
To be part of the attraction's supervisory team, working on a fair shift pattern to support all daily operations
To provide a warm, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to all guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are always delivered and maintained and in line with our guest expectations
To successfully supervise the food and beverage operation at Dinotropolis to the highest standard
Ensure that the Food and Beverage operation adheres to the latest Food legislation and company procedures, and be fully responsible and accountable for all mandatory regulations and compliance
Forecast and plan all F&B orders; to include supporting the Party & Events Manager with F&B requirements for parties and other diarised events.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Be the primary coordinator of food and beverage, overseeing the daily operations, maintaining inventory records as well as relevant kitchen records
2. To have responsibility for stock control of both food and beverage ensuring that budgeted margins are delivered on a monthly basis. Adhere to strict stock rotation principles, ensuring food wastage is within agreed guidelines and is fully recorded on wastage sheets
3. To use and utilise Dinotropolis's procurement system for stock monitoring/control and forecasting
4. Have ownership of all kitchen processes and procedures and ensure that all staff follow these.
5. Responsible for preparing and cooking the Food & Beverage menu - both directly and by engaging and training other team members (Rangers)
6. Monitor trends, and continuously make necessary improvements to the F&B offering/Menu
7. Provide excellent communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork. Have the willingness to work closely with the Rangers to execute a professional F&B offering at the attraction.
8. Maintain the stock room, monitor stock rotation, and ensure this room is always kept functional, clean and tidy
9. Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service and constantly maintain a high level of operational excellence
10. Be flexible and adaptable where necessary in order to meet the changing needs of the business
11. Ensure adherence to cash handling and finance procedures
12. Assist the management team by achieving financial targets set
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic with a guest-orientated focus and service minded attitude. A natural passion for delivering exceptional guest service with a courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues.
This is a role for somebody dynamic, energetic, self-driven, and above all who has a positive "can do" outlook with a clear focus on deliverables. To have the ability to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities in a busy, fast paced and challenging environment with minimum supervision.
We are looking for a highly organised, naturally forward planning, logical, structured thinker who critically assesses his/her own performance. Mature yet young-at-heart, or young with a mature mind, in either case you will require boundless energy and enthusiasm yet be credible.
To naturally have a high standard of personal presentation and cleanliness.
Personal Situation:
Able to commute reliably to the main attraction based at Bluewater.
Must be able to work shifts, attend meetings, and able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
Specific Skills:
Proven food and beverage supervisory experience
Experience of supervising and leading a team of people
Ability to take ownership of kitchen practices and have the practical knowledge and experience of how to prepare, cook and present food and beverages to high standards
Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
Food Safety: You need to be knowledgeable about food safety standards as well as ensuring that your staff also comply with regulations.
Food Hygiene certificates desirable
