Job Title: Hospitality Food and Beverage Supervisor

Hours: Full time - 40 hours

Pay: 13.83 per hour plus tronc approx. 5000.00 per annum

We are looking for a talented Hospitality Food and Beverage Supervisor on board Fingal, AA Hotel of the Year Scotland 2024, and AA luxury 5-star hotel, with a 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

This is a great opportunity for a talented hospitality superstar to join our food and beverage team on board Fingal, focusing on our 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

When it comes to produce and wines we use only the best aboard Fingal, we make use of our very own herb garden, quite unique for Edinburgh. We are passionate about creating dishes, wines and cocktails that stand out from the crowd.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience in a world-class service environment. A can-do, flexible attitude, smart appearance and excellent communication skills are essential. You will ensure our guests have a personalised, enjoyable and memorable experience by delivering outstanding five-star customer service.

Fingal Hotel is a luxury floating hotel permanently berthed on Edinburgh's vibrant waterfront, awarded Tripadvisor's No.1 in the UK and No. 4 in the world for their 'One of a kind' hotels category, and AA Hotel of the Year Scotland. Launched in January 2019, Fingal started life as a lighthouse tender and has been transformed into an exquisite 22-cabin five-star hotel and exclusive use venue with the onboard Lighthouse Restaurant, awarded 2 AA Rosettes. Fingal is the sister ship of The Royal Yacht Britannia, an award-winning, five-star visitor attraction and exclusive evening events venue in Edinburgh.

Role Overview

We are seeking an organised, dynamic, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Hospitality Food and Beverage Supervisor. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth execution of our restaurant, delivering impeccable service, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure impeccable service is delivered to our guests, whilst driving revenue streams and training team members.

Key responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:

Demonstrate excellent product knowledge. Strong focus on upselling and guest engagement. Follow and maintain preset standards within the restaurant. Meet with restaurant team to review daily specials, menu changes, and service specifications. Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards. Provide excellent customer service to guests. Excellent communication skills.
Key Skills and Qualifications: -

Experience:

Proven experience in a supervisory or event management role within the hospitality or fine dining sector. Knowledge of fine dining service etiquette and operations. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
Personal Attributes:

A proactive, can-do attitude with a focus on team collaboration. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence. Ability to adapt and manage multiple tasks with efficiency.
