Job Overview


The Food Bank Coordinator oversees the day-to-day running of Mamacita Foundation's food bank, ensuring efficient operations, effective volunteer management, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with food safety and funder requirements.

Responsibilities



Manage daily operations of the food bank, including stock intake, food parcel preparation, and client distribution. Recruit, train, and coordinate food bank volunteers and maintain rotas. Liaise with local stores, partners, and donors to secure regular supplies and support. Maintain accurate stock and client records and support impact reporting. Ensure food hygiene, safety, and safeguarding compliance.

Experience



Graduate-level qualification or equivalent experience in community work, logistics, or management. Strong organisational and people skills; ability to work with diverse communities. Experience in food poverty work, volunteer coordination, or local partnerships. Demonstrated phone etiquette when communicating with service users, volunteers, staff and partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 24,420.00-45,536.59 per year
