Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring quality and adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and responding to guest inquiries. Support catering events by setting up dining areas, arranging tables, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain efficient workflow. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including dining spaces and equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Handle cash transactions accurately and assist with inventory management as required. Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience, offering recommendations based on menu knowledge.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and catering services will be advantageous. Barista experience is a plus; knowledge of coffee brewing methods is beneficial. Strong understanding of food safety practices is essential for maintaining hygiene standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills within the food and beverage sector.
