Would you like to work for the charity that cares for hundreds of historic sites in every corner of England? We are looking for a Food and Beverage Assistant to join us at Goodrich Castle.



This is a unique opportunity for you to work at Goodrich Castle, one of the finest and best preserved of all English medieval castles. Boasting a fascinating history and spectacular views from the battlements.



No history background? No problem. What is important to us is a passion for people and excellent customer service. You will enjoy working with others as part of a team and understand what makes excellent customer service to deliver great quality through our food and unique settings.

This is a part-time role, working a minimum of 12 hours per week from March to October.



As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will help to prepare food and drinks from the best of regional and local produce at Goodrich Castle, while working as part of a team to support the day-to-day operations. Duties may vary depending on the day, but you can expect to be:



Taking and preparing food and drink orders Assisting with food preparation in our kitchen Providing exceptional customer service Ensuring a perfect standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout

About You

To be a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will:

understand what makes excellent customer service and enjoy delivering this to our customers be able to engage in a positive way with people from all backgrounds enjoy working as a team

Experience of working in a food and beverage role and an awareness of food safety and allergens would help but it isn't essential, as full training will be provided. For us, it's more important that you have bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

Salary of 12.39 per hour. This will increase, following the NLW rise on 1st April, 2026 to a minimum of 12.71 per hour.
