We are the Motorpoint Arena & National Ice Centre, Nottingham. The largest entertainment venue in the East Midlands, with a capacity of 10,000 attendees. We host a diverse range of events, including concerts, comedy, entertainment, and sporting fixtures, welcoming over 100 events and more than 800,000 visitors annually. Additionally, we are proud to be the home of the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey Team, with over 30 home league and cup games each season.
The Motorpoint Arena Nottingham is currently seeking Food & Beverage Event Supervisors to join our team in preparation for the upcoming season.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead and motivate the Food & Beverage team within your designated areas. You will support the Food & Beverage Manager(s) in delivering excellent service that maximizes sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction, all through a structured approach executed to high standards.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Supervise the food & beverage team during service periods
Oversee the smooth running of events as required
Train and develop staff, and participate in staff meetings
Ensure the concourse is correctly prepared, and that all food & beverage supervisors have properly set their bars and completed all necessary paperwork in accordance with SOPs
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Support in cellar management
Manage cash handling responsibilities, including the safe distribution and reconciliation of floats
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations related to health & safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety, and COSHH; report any hazards, issues, near misses, or incidents promptly
Enforce adherence to our Challenge 21 policy and the responsible service of alcohol

Experience working in a high-volume catering environment
Proven ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety procedures
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse customer base
Friendly, professional, and well-presented appearance
Ability to work effectively under pressure
A team-oriented approach
Confidence in cash handling procedures
