Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering food from restaurant efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Deliver goods to clients and customers in a timely manner across designated routes. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety protocols. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and completing delivery logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain vehicle safety standards. Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, ensuring it is presentable at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices. Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type, such as a Category licence or equivalent. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling goods or packages. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Reliable, punctual, and organised with a strong sense of responsibility. Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is preferred but not essential.
