Job Summary:





A

Food and Beverage Assistant

supports the daily operations of the hotel's dining areas, bars, and banquet services. They provide excellent customer service, ensure guests' dining experiences meet or exceed expectations, and assist in the smooth running of the food and beverage services. This role includes setting up dining areas, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness standards.


Key Responsibilities:




Guest Service:

+ Greet and welcome guests warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable. + Take orders and deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
+ Provide menu recommendations and answer any guest inquiries about food and beverages.
+ Address guest concerns or complaints and escalate issues to management if needed.

Food Beverage Service:

+ Assist in the setup, service, and breakdown of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. + Serve food and drinks according to the hotel's standards of service.
+ Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations.
+ Ensure accurate and efficient billing processes, handling transactions and payments.

Operations Support:

+ Set up and clear tables, ensuring dining areas are prepared for service. + Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and maintaining equipment.
+ Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
+ Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.

Team Collaboration:

+ Work with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service. + Support other areas of the Food and Beverage department when necessary, including the bar, room service, and event catering.

Key Skills and Competencies:




Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. A team player with a proactive and positive attitude. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu offerings, food preparation, and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:




Previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (training can be provided). Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry items as needed.

Working Conditions:




Dynamic and fast-paced environment. May require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Involves prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sometimes lifting.
