Night shift: 20:00 - 3.30am with 30 min unpaid break
Job Purpose
To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a food production environment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company procedures. This role is essential in preventing contamination, maintaining product quality, and supporting safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate cleaning staff schedules and daily activities.
Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, ordering replacements as needed.
Assign cleaning duties and inspect work to ensure high-quality standards are met.
Use cleaning chemicals and tools safely, following COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines.
Remove waste and dispose of it in accordance with hygiene and environmental policies.
Maintain cleaning records and checklists to meet audit and compliance requirements.
Report maintenance issues, equipment faults, or safety hazards to the manager.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adhere to all health and safety rules.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Work as part of the hygiene team to complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.

Skills & Qualifications
Previous cleaning or hygiene experience in a food manufacturing or similar environment (preferred but not always required).
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely.
Good attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules.
Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive cleaning tasks.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions
Fast-paced food production environment.
Shift work may include early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Exposure to wet, cold, or warm conditions depending on the production area.
Regular use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
