About the Role:
This job is a very varied and demanding role; we require a dependable and proactive individual to support current Distribution team.
Shift Times
A mix of 8am - 4pm, 10am - 6pm for week day shifts and 9am - 4.30pm for weekends.
We have a mix of roles from a minimum of 29 - 30 hours per week to be worked across a two week rolling rota. This role includes alternate weekends.
Uniform will be provided
Key Responsibilities:
Pick products for customer orders and pack delivery routes into vans, ensuring ordering accuracy and timeliness
Assist with day-to-day food preparation duties when required, accurately pack food products into foils, containers and boxes according to specifications and ensure they are ready for delivery.
Ensure all items being loaded meet company standards before dispatch.
Follow our HACCP procedure to ensure there is good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene and health & safety standards throughout the shift and to maintain our current SALSA accreditation.
Keep the warehouse & packing areas clean at all times
Communicate effectively with management to report issues.
Handle materials safely, including heavy lifting as required.
Ad Hoc Driving for cover of delivery drivers when needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in food distribution is desirable
A good level of numeracy and literacy skills
Comfortable working with a small team and working independently
Physically fit and competent of lifting and moving stock
Organised, punctual, and committed to quality service
Able to work in -18c cold rooms
Flexible to work in all departments throughout the warehouse
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Full UK Driving Licence preferred, you will need to be 25+ years of age due to Insurance policies.
