About the Role

Ambrosia is a boutique cocktail bar inspired by mythology and elevated service. Alongside our Divine Cocktail Menu and Smoked Whiskey List, we offer a

cold food menu

featuring artisanal platters of cheese, cured meats, fruit, dips, and other seasonal bites.

We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented

Food Prep Assistant

to support our team by preparing and plating these cold food dishes. Additionally,

every guest who orders drinks will be served food

-- so you'll also be responsible for preparing and sending out

small complimentary nibbles

with each drink order.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and plate cold food items from our divine menu, including platters, dips, and sides Portion cheeses, charcuterie, and accompaniments to consistent standards Prepare and serve

small nibbles

(e.g. olives, crackers, dips) for every drink order, as required by licence Maintain a clean and organised prep area at all times Follow all food hygiene, safety, and allergen handling protocols Communicate clearly with the bar and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service Assist with stock rotation and restocking prep stations

What We're Looking For

Experience in food handling, deli, cafe, or kitchen prep preferred Good eye for detail and food presentation Reliable, calm, and organised Comfortable working in a small evening team (Thursday to Sunday) Level 2 Food Hygiene certification (or willing to complete one)
