Overview

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am until 6pm (2 x 30min breaks unpaid). Salary 30,160 - this is negotiable depending on experience.

Experienced food production operative with a good knowledge of operating production equipment including vacuum fillers, mincers and flow - wrapping machines.

Albion Pet Foods, a long?established manufacturer in the raw dog food sector, is seeking an Experienced Production Operative to join our manufacturing team in Bidford?on?Avon. The successful candidate will support daily production operations, working closely with the Production Manager to ensure consistent output and high standards of food safety.

This is a hands?on role involving the handling, processing, and packing of frozen raw meat products within a temperature?controlled environment. The position requires physical stamina and a strong understanding of food?production processes.

Key Responsibilities

Adhere to daily and weekly production schedules, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Operate and maintain production equipment, including vacuum fillers, mince portioners, and flow?wrapping machines. Perform mixing, filling, and packaging tasks in line with HACCP, hygiene, and food safety procedures. Maintain a clean and sanitised working environment, including equipment and utensils. Work collaboratively with the production team to meet output targets. Lift and move raw materials, containers, and finished products as required. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in food production or a similar environment. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles. Experience operating vacuum fillers and flow?wrapping machinery. Physically fit, with the ability to lift, move, and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Reliable team player with a positive work ethic. Willingness to undertake varied tasks as needed. Basic numeracy and literacy for record?keeping and production documentation. Commitment to maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards.
