Job Description
Larids Foods Limited trading as Borders Gourmet, based in Thistle Mill, Biggar are manufacturers of chilled and frozen ready meals to the retail sector.
We are looking to recruit for an experienced food production operative to join our small and friendly team.
The overall purpose of the role is to assist to achieve the daily production plans ensuring that the production line runs efficiently whilst maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. The role also involves an element of building and dismantling machinery.
Key Result Areas:
Working to meet targets in order to fulfil production plan
Handling and preparing Ingredients and packing of ready meals
Hygiene /Cleaning Duties
Food safety & Quality Control
Paperwork and procedures
Wastage
Health and Safety
What we are looking for:
Previous experience of working within a food factory environment is essential
Excellent understanding of health & safety and food hygiene requirements within a food production environment
Enthusiasm, excellent time management skills and be able to work using your own initiative
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.35 per hour
