As we continue to expand, we are looking for hardworking and reliable individuals to join our production team.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Food Production Operative to support the day-to-day production of our bakery products. You will help prepare, bake, assemble, and package pastries, cakes, sandwich fillings, and other fresh items to a high standard. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and requires great attention to detail, teamwork, and strong hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, bake, assemble, and pack a variety of bakery and fresh food products. Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistent product quality. Support the preparation of pastries, cakes, breads, sandwich fillings, and other fresh items. Operate bakery equipment safely and correctly, including ovens, mixers, and preparation tools. Maintain a clean, hygienic, and well-organised production area at all times. Follow all food safety, allergen, and hygiene procedures, including correct use of PPE. Assist with stock rotation, labelling, and basic inventory control. Work efficiently to meet production deadlines and early-morning dispatch times. Support colleagues and communicate effectively within the production team.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Experience in a food production, bakery, or kitchen environment (or a strong willingness to learn). Good understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work at pace. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early starts. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable:

Food Safety Level 2 certificate. Experience in bakery production or working with pastry. Familiarity with HACCP or allergen controls.

Experience:

Baking: 1 year proven (required)

Full time - Permanent

Early Morning shifts - from 04:00

Permanent Weekends required

Weekday shifts Required.

Starting salary - 25,300.00 per annum

Minimum expected hours: 36 per week
