Food Production Operative

Overview:
Join our team as a Production Operator where you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the packing of all food products produced by Cheese Solutions.
Operating machinery and equipment as required for the above activity.

- Keeping work areas and the factory floor clean and free from hazardous material on an outgoing basis.

- Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines

- Measuring and classifying all raw materials in preparation for production

- Feeding the raw materials into the machinery as required

- Operating the production machinery as required

- Cleaning the machinery including hand-held tools, and other parts of the production space

- Noting machine faults and reporting to maintenance as required

- Informing supervisors of faulty machinery or production issues

- Maintaining work areas and equipment in good condition

- Reducing productions costs by minimising wastage

- Demonstrate the competent application of good manufacturing practices required to consistently operate to high standards of food quality and food safety.

- Comply with company hygiene policies and procedures when undertaking operations

- Maintain high standards of person hygiene

- Any other duties as required to fulfil the company needs

Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with operating machinery and hand tools

Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
