Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for guest services and hospitality.

Responsibilities

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner. Ensure that all orders are accurate and presented beautifully before serving. Assist in the preparation of meals as needed, adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations. Support waitstaff during busy periods by helping with additional tasks as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation and safety practices is preferred. Strong guest services skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere. Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations or guest inquiries. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing time effectively. A passion for food and hospitality, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the industry.
