Contract Type: 32 hours per week, term time only. Includes evenings and weekends.
Salary: Up to 12.21 per hour

About the role:
Bromsgrove School is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join our catering team. This is a term-time-only role, working primarily within our Senior School Front of House team. This role is essential in ensuring pupils, staff, and visitors receive high-quality, nutritious meals served with care, efficiency, and attention to detail.
In addition to your regular duties at the Senior School, you will provide cover at our other sites - Prep School, Pre-Prep, Cafe and Winterfold House School - as needed, to support during staff absences or holidays.
You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK's leading contract caterers, providing fresh, innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages in order to meet the bespoke requirements of each school.

What we are looking for:

• A friendly, hardworking team player with a positive attitude
• Someone flexible and happy to work across multiple locations within the Bromsgrove School family
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (mileage between sites is minimal, with the furthest location just under 7 miles away)
• Previous catering or customer service experience is desirable but not essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation, service, and presentation of food to a high standard
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas
• Assist with food labelling, temperature checks, and allergen controls
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors
• Set up and clear service areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
• Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions
