Job Opportunity: Food Service Assistant

Contract Type: Term Time Only

About the Roles

We are currently seeking two dedicated and customer-focused Food Service Assistants to join our catering team at Dumfries and Galloway College. These roles offer a great opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment, contributing to the daily food service operations within the college.

Position 1:

Hours: 20 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 09:30 - 14:30

Salary: 9,407.16 per annum (equivalent to 9.01 per hour)

Position 2:

Hours: 30 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 15:00

Salary: 14,110.74 per annum (equivalent to 9.10 per hour)

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food service areas Support the catering team with general duties Deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors

Candidate Requirements

Previous catering or food service experience preferred Ability to work effectively as part of a team Good communication skills and attention to detail A proactive and positive approach to work
