Key Responsibilities
Represent the catering and dietetic team in internal and external forums.
Ensure patient food services meet quality and nutritional standards.
Lead menu planning, reviews, and tasting sessions for therapeutic and standard diets.
Coordinate catering operations meetings and drive actions forward.
Liaise with catering teams, Trust dietitians, and ISS management to ensure smooth service delivery.
Oversee audits and evaluations of food quality, dietary products, and service accuracy.
Support allergen management, waste reduction, and compliance with national directives.
Engage with patients to gather feedback and improve services.
Contribute to health promotion initiatives and themed events.
Assist in developing systems and processes to enhance transparency and safety.
Provide monthly reports and maintain professional development.
Professional and personal competencies/qualifications
Qualifications:

  • Degree in Dietetics or relevant degree with Diploma in Dietetics
  • HCPC Registered Dietitian
  • Food Safety qualification at a minimum of level 3 (can be taught by ISS)
Experience:
  • Experience in a foodservice/catering environment would be preferable
  • Experience in a clinical environment
Skills:
  • Excellent communication both oral and written with the ability to produce high
quality work
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
  • Menu planning, nutritional analysis and dietary coding
  • Teaching and presentation
  • Project management
  • Meets deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Computer generated nutritional analysis - saffron
  • Conversant with excel, word and outlook
