Job Description

Sodexo is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team. In this front-facing role, you'll be responsible for delivering excellent catering services while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. You'll play a key part in supporting both daily operations and compliance with health and safety standards.
What you'll do:

• Deliver high-quality food and service to Johnson Matthey staff and guests
• Respond positively and professionally to customer needs and requests
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas at all times
• Support food safety and allergen procedures, including temperature checks and stocktakes
• Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, including COSHH
• Work collaboratively with the on-site Sodexo team and support management requests
• Wear PPE and follow safe working practices as directed

What you'll bring:

• Experience in a food service or catering environment (preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced setting
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Willingness to undertake training and learn new skills
• A team player with a flexible and proactive approach
