Role: Food Technology Teacher (with QTS)
Location: North London
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: MPS 1-6 (37,870-52,300)
Clarus Education is proud to be working with a vibrant and high-achieving Secondary School in North London, seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology Department from January 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to inspire students through creative, hands-on lessons that develop key life skills and a love for food and nutrition. The successful candidate will deliver Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
The Role:

  • Teach engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and deliver high-quality schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum
  • Encourage creativity, independence, and healthy lifestyle choices among students
  • Support departmental initiatives, including school events and cooking clubs
  • Assess and track pupil progress, maintaining high standards of learning and achievement
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Specialism in Food Technology, Catering, or Design & Technology
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Passionate about practical learning and promoting nutritional education
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to raising student achievement
