Food Technology Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS; 32,916 - 51,048 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are seeking to appoint a dedicated and knowledgeable Food Technology Teacher to work at a Client Secondary School located in York, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible.
Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, imaginative lessons in Food Technology, aligned with curriculum standards.
Inspire students with practical, hands-on experiences and a focus on nutrition, health, and food preparation skills.
Contribute to curriculum development, schemes of work, and assessment practices within the department.
Assessing and providing constructive feedback to students to aid their progress and achievement.
Maintain a safe, hygienic, and stimulating learning environment in the food technology space.

Food Technology Teacher Requirements:

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
A specialism in Food Technology, or a closely related subject.
Passionate about teaching Food Technology along with a strong command of the subject
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for promoting health, nutrition, and food preparation.
Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
