Join Our Team as a Food Waste Project Liaison Officer (6-month fixed term)
1 x 37 hours per week, fixed-term position
Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional looking to make a difference in your community? We're seeking a proactive and dedicated Food Waste Project Liaison Officer to join our Waste and Street Scene Services team, helping to keep our streets and environment clean, tidy and our services running efficiently.
In this hands-on role, you will help shape our new food waste collection service for residents of Hastings. We're looking for a people-focused problem solver who thrives on being out in the community-whether that's meeting residents, tackling issues on the ground, working with partners and contractors or helping households make recycling work for them. If you've got great communication skills, a knack for building trust, and the drive to keep our town clean and sustainable, this is your chance to make a visible impact across the Borough.
What We're Looking For:
? Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
? Strong IT skills, with experience using databases, online platforms, and Microsoft Word & Excel
? Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
? A customer-focused approach with strong communication skills
? Full driving licence and own vehicle (mileage expenses paid)
This is a field-based role, with office work included at times, located at Castleham Business Park, Hastings, where you'll be part of a friendly and supportive team.
