We are seeking passionate and dedicated Football Coaches to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the game and a commitment to educating players . We are based in the West End of Glasgow. Teams train in the evenings and play games at weekends. This role involves not only coaching but also mentoring young players, fostering their development, and instilling a love for the sport. We seek Coaches for our Mini Section (4-7 yrs), 7 aside teams (8-12yrs) and 11 aside teams (13 plus yrs).
Responsibilities
Develop and implement training programmes that enhance players' skills and understanding of football.
Conduct regular practice sessions, focusing on individual and team performance.
Educate players on game strategies, rules, and sportsmanship.
Assess players' abilities and provide constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
Organise and lead competitive matches, ensuring all players are engaged and motivated.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and respect.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaching staff regarding player progress and team goals.
Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques and football trends to enhance training methods.
Requirements
Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in football.
Knowledge of football tactics, techniques, and fitness training.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate players effectively.
Ability to motivate and inspire young players to achieve their best potential.
Strong organisational skills to manage training schedules and match days efficiently.
Recognised coaching qualifications.
The Club will put volunteers through Coaching badges.
A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all players.
