Football Transactions Manager - Women's and Academy

The Purpose:
The Football Transactions Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering Manchester United's football and squad strategy by leading and supporting high-value player acquisitions, contracts, and negotiations--primarily across the Women's and Academy teams, with additional involvement in Men's First Team transactions. This role requires a strong legal and contractual foundation to ensure deals are executed efficiently, strategically, and in alignment with club values and long-term objectives.
The Role:
Work in close collaboration with the Director of Football Negotiations, Academy Director, Head of Women's Football and Loans & Pathways Manager to secure best-value outcomes in player acquisitions, contract negotiations, loans, renewals, and player sales.
Prepare well-informed proposals supported by robust benchmarking data on salaries, bonuses, and market trends, ensuring consistency and strategy in all player negotiations and contract offers.
Support the development of strong, long-term relationships with player agents, representing both current squad members and prospective signings.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with executives at other clubs to gain valuable market insight, helping to inform smart and strategic recruitment decisions.
Gather and analyse market intelligence through club networks, internal analysis, and external market mapping--providing insight into other clubs' squads, strategies, and financial positioning.
Coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure the smooth, timely, and accurate execution of all administrative and approval processes linked to player contracts and transfers.
Deliver high-quality, seamless player signing sessions, working with internal teams to ensure every step of the acquisition process meets the club's elite standards.

Uphold the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and trust while working with senior football leadership and colleagues across the club.

Play an active role in recruitment meetings for the Academy and Women's teams, offering strategic insight and collaborative input to support decision-making.
Support additional projects and initiatives as required by the Director of Football Negotiations in alignment with the club's evolving football priorities
