We are looking for a Spanish Foreign Language Assistant . This is an exciting opportunity to join Wallington County Grammar School and become an integral member of the Modern Foreign Language team.

Main responsibilities:
To provide high quality support in the teaching of Spanish to students, mainly in KS4 and KS5.
To prepare students for the speaking component of public examinations: GCSE and A2
To help teachers conduct speaking EOU assessments and potentially some marking of the assessments
To support MFL departmental events as appropriate
To support language sessions in the target language through conversations and activities
To liaise with class teachers regularly regarding the content and the structure of tutorial sessions
To support the class teacher with preparation of authentic materials
To bring a wealth of ideas and resources such as websites, lesson plans, songs and games
To embody with enthusiasm the target language as an enjoyable and inclusive activity
To be prepared to use the target language at all times and to adapt it according to the level and ability of the student group
To provide regular feedback to class teachers regarding students' progress
To offer support in using the foreign language to teaching staff
You will need:
Native Speaker educated at degree level
Experience of working in a similar role
Experience of working informally or formally with young people
Good knowledge of the grammar and structure of the native language
Good knowledge of the culture associated with the language
Good standard of English
Good knowledge of English grammar
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in the native language
A high degree of professionalism in their approach to work and tasks set
